About our Recovery Connector Team
Our Recovery Connector team is made up of people with lived experience of recovery, here to support you in finding and engaging with local, community-based recovery support.
You can access this team at any stage of your recovery, as long as you're ready to take part in structured recovery activities.
What Recovery Connectors Do:
• Work in local areas across Derbyshire and know the community support available near you.
• Offer 1:1 and group support, tailored to your needs.
• Help explore your skills, interests, and goals to connect you with the right groups and services.
• Provide flexible contact – face-to-face, phone, or online.
• Support you in attending recovery groups, mutual aid meetings, and activities.
• Help you build positive connections and a strong foundation in your local community.
Recovery Connector support includes:
• Exploring what recovery means to you, reflecting on past behaviours and future goals
• Understanding thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, including triggers, cravings, and risky situations
• Planning ahead by setting goals, building healthy routines, and learning how to prevent relapse
You’ll gain practical tools and skills to support positive change and help you maintain recovery from drug or alcohol use.
We also have a fantastic team of Recovery Volunteers who offer visible recovery support and strengthen the peer network — and you can get involved too!
